Our photo tours in Barcelona are open to every photographer enthusiast, from beginners to advanced ones. Despite our photo tours offer a wide range of interesting locations for shooting interesting and creative images, sometimes, participants ask for even more specific requests for their photographic needs. The other day, for example, I arranged a Barcelona photography tour for a Canadian enthusiast photographer. It was his first time in Spain though he travelled extensively through Europe several times before. As he loves shooting close-up architectural details of historical buildings, he asked me to include any interesting architecture elements in the planned photographic itinerary.
Every year, on September 24, Barcelona celebrates La Merce festival, the major annual festival in town. For every photographer this is one of the greatest chances to shoot colorful and folkloristic images. In fact, for a few days, you have the opportunity to see street parades, including papier maché “giants” known as gegants i capgrossos and castellers (human towers). La Merce has been celebrated since the Middle Ages when, in 1687, Barcelona suffered a plague of locusts.
